Account information: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from the provider you choose.
Profile information: You may add or update your display name and profile photo within Waleef.
User content: Photos, posts, adoption and mating listings, comments, likes, messages, and contest entries you create in the app.
Usage data: How you interact with Waleef, such as pages viewed, features used, and general app activity, collected through analytics tools.
Device and technical data: Device type, operating system, app version, language preference, and push notification tokens.
Location data: If you grant permission, we may use your approximate location to show nearby listings and services. You can disable location access in your device settings at any time.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account.
- Provide core features such as posts, adoptions, matings, contests, messaging, and notifications.
- Personalize your experience, including language and nearby content.
- Keep the community safe by reviewing reports and enforcing our Terms & Conditions.
- Improve, maintain, and troubleshoot Waleef.
- Send service-related notifications you have enabled.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party providers to operate Waleef, including:
- Google and Apple for authentication.
- Firebase for authentication, push notifications, crash reporting, and analytics.
- Cloud hosting and media storage providers to store app data and images.
These providers process data on our behalf according to their own privacy policies and our instructions.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With other users, according to the content you choose to make visible (for example, your public profile, posts, and listings).
- With service providers who help us operate Waleef.
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Waleef and its users.
- In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with appropriate safeguards.
5. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data and related content in accordance with our data retention practices, except where we must retain certain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You can:
- Update your profile information in the app.
- Control notification preferences in app settings.
- Disable location permissions on your device.
- Delete your account from Account Info in the app, which permanently removes your account and associated data subject to legal retention requirements.
- Contact us to ask questions about your data or to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable under local law.
7. Children's Privacy
Waleef is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Users
Waleef may process and store information in countries other than your own. By using Waleef, you consent to the transfer of your information to facilities and service providers located in those countries.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and, when appropriate, notify you within the app. Your continued use of Waleef after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
